Been working on some new illustrations in Adobe illustrator. It's kind of a new medium for me. I know the program, but I've generally used it to create logos, etc. Drawing with it from scratch is a different beast. The process is painstaking but fascinating. The possibilities are endless on what you can do, but it takes a while to really get the hang of, and being expressive is even harder-since there is so much reliance upon computer technology- it's actually hard to draw a line that doesn't look mechanical, especially when it's a straight line. anyways, this is one in the series that I am working on.
its fun doing all the layered objects, but mistakes are frequent. The glass itself has about 30 layers of objects, all with differing transparencies and effects. And that's just the martini glass. It can be mind boggling trying to keep track of all that's going on, and especially for me as I am doing a lot of experimenting here, and I am self taught on this program. I'm still finding my way on it. But having fun, in between banging my head on the keyboard in frustration.
